Application for the Boone County Democratic Party Scholarship

Boone County Democrats offer
scholarship to local students The Boone County Democratic
Women’s Club and the Boone County Democratic
Club is giving a scholarship to a Boone County
senior in either a public or private
school. Students will be recognized at
their school’s Honors Assembly in the
spring. Students who apply for the
scholarship must have one parent who is a
registered Democrat and must meet the following
criteria: be a Boone County resident and a
senior in a Boone County public or private high
school, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, be interested
in actively participating in politics; submit a
photo copy of an acceptance letter to an
institution of higher learning, and write a
letter no longer than 200 words to the Boone
County Democratic Scholarship Committee stating
why you are interested in becoming involved in
politics and any involvement up to this point
(working in elections registering, etc.) in
politics. The application due date is
April 2, 2012, and can be obtained in the
school’s Senior Counselor’s
office.
